North Italia Comes to BLVD Place

Fox Restaurant Concepts brings the newest Italian restaurant, North Italia, to the swanky Blvd Place, making Houston the restaurant’s 7th location. I went to North Italia eager to try their version of Italian-food; I wanted pasta, pizza, and desert! I ordered:

Fig & Prosciutto pizza with arugula and goat cheese; Heirloom Beet salad: roasted beets, apple, hazelnut, ricotta cheese and lemon crème fraiche; Strozzapreti: chicken with roasted mushrooms, bloomsdale spinach, pine nuts and parmesan cream. For dessert I had Tiramisu- a must try at North Italia. The crunchy chocolate topping added a fun unexpected element that set this dessert apart.

The entire meal was delicious in presentation and flavor. With their hand-made daily pasta, pizza, and Italian–American comfort food, North Italia cooks “a love letter to Italy” that is impossible to resist. More than anything, North Italia creates an atmosphere that takes me back to my familia. At North Italia, I reminisce on family gatherings around the kitchen, cooking, bantering with siblings and watching mom do her thing. The kitchen is surrounded by a glass wall and it was very pleasant to be able to see big smiles, focused cooks, pasta being made by hand, meatballs coming together, laughter in the background…home.
